I’m using the Nothing 2A Plus Community Edition (Glow in Dark), and I’ve been facing some weird charging issues recently. Initially, it worked fine, but over the last week, I noticed that even though the phone shows it’s charging, 8 times out of 10, the battery level actually decreases while connected.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Adjusted Battery Health settings (Smart Charging Mode, Custom Charging Mode, disabled both).

  • Restarted the device and ensured proper cable/adapter connections.

  • Tested the same charger and cable with a friend’s 2A Plus (Black Edition), and it works fine for them.

Possible Patterns I Noticed:

  • Charging works if I shut down the device before plugging in.

  • Locking the screen before connecting the charger sometimes helps.

  • Unlocking the phone while charging often causes it to stop.

These patterns aren’t consistent, so it might be related to charging optimization or software.

Has anyone else faced this issue or found a solution? Any tips or insights would be appreciated!

I’d look to log a support ticket as the team in support are probably best placed to (a) help you troubleshooting (b) plan any next steps if applicable. In your ticket, make sure to provide as much detail as possible and, outline any troubleshooting steps you’ve followed.
