GunjanGupta_VaerB1lEDd Unless the phone is send in for forensic study, there is no way the Nothing team could have known what had happen. CMF phone 1 is not package with a charger brick. The deceased could have used a faulty charger, or a charger with a higher voltage capacity. It may even be due to prolonged overcharging. You go to sleep and forget to unplugged your charger. Seem like it’s an isolated incident. If it’s wide spread like the Samsung Note 7 fiasco, there would be more reports.

Zacksq Charger with Higher voltage capacity? AFAIK All PD chargers default to 5V if the device being charged is not compatible with the voltages being supported by the device. If device supports PD, then the charger will switch to the voltage as requested by the device.

Isn’t the whole point of not sending the charger being that everyone has plenty of chargers lying around and people can use what they already have? Did Nothing ever officially released any specification for what a charger should support inorder to be called a supported charger? As I remember from few months ago, it was the users who were doing wild guesses that some PPS standard is required, Nothing never even confirmed the same.

All I want from Nothing is to take some actions. What would be the point in just sitting and waiting for another blast to happen? Even if it was caused by an incompatible charger, do the user even know how to identify if a charger is compatible or not? And if at the end of the day we all are supposed to buy the official charger, then why Nothing didn’t just send it in the box?

This is correct. I was trying to get the specs for a cheap charger.

I believe it requires PPS and I found a £10 charger that delivers that but it only charges at a max 25W or so.

Perhaps that’s the max of the CheapMoFo1?

this 3.0 update contain many bugs with camera when I click the photo and came on home page my phone was lag hard and when I perform simple task so the refresh rate was fluctuate and we requested you please launch officially 3.0 as soon as with 0 % bugs

if anyone tries the beta, adress the control center problem, battery life, any lags or bugs, and if you’d recommend updating
      thanks

When will the stable version release

GunjanGupta_VaerB1lEDd Condolences to the guy and his family, but if the rider is deceased how would it ever be known whether the phone exploded on its own or from the battery being pierced in the impact?

I think the latter is a more likely possibility. Especially considering most people don’t use cases with this device, and the back plate is a very thin plastic.

What are you expecting Nothing to do about this? It’s an isolated incident, and they’ll likely never get the device returned to them to perform an analysis. It’s not that Nothing are trying to hide this or make you forget it as you’ve previously written, but phones from all manufacturers can fail in extreme conditions. It doesn’t need addressing.

Rob ⚡️ Hello everyone, i think the next update will be for Nothing Phone (2a) Plus at 17 december and the last one will be Nothing Phone (1) at 24 december
