Just announced in[ today NothingOS 3.0 presentation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eV3Ch2lEr9Q), Nothing Gallery is finally coming after lot of feedback requesting it ever since NothingOS launch. Gallery will include in the future: automatic AI image categorisation, "more natural language search", and more AI features like AI Upscaling and Super Resolution and AI Image Generation. Nothing OS 3.0 and Gallery General release will begin in december. Nothing Gallery app update is available on play store. It’s in beta for now.

But no option to set nothing Gallery app as default gallery app.

Hopefully, Nothing OS 3.0 stable release soon.

For Phone 1 and Phone 2 users, have you guys check on playstore if you guys have received official Nothing Gallery app? Some reddit users have gotten the official Nothing Gallery app

Nothing gallery is here.

Hold to cut out is great! Working excellent. Little lagging when you try to paste the cutout to somewhere but it’s a early access. Overall it’s a smooth experience.

The edit options brings the Google photos Edit page.

The gallery app is Fine. The Ui of the app is well done. It delivers a nothing ui vibe into it but they are some cons. I personally want these to be fixed in an update

1. The “Set As” in videos. It doesn’t deliver any purpose unless you can set it in as Wallpaper. If not you can simply remove it.

2. The “Edit” in photos. When I press the ✏️ icon it doesn’t edit but gives me an option to go to Google photos. You can simply add filters and other options

3. The Search Bar. It quite useful but I wish you could add an option to “Tag” in photos and videos. So if I tag something like “home” in a certain photo or video. When I go to the search bar and type home I will see that photo or video pop up.

It’s amazing and very minimal it even got an update on play store..

Also there is an AI feature available on the new Gallery app (cut out feature) just long press an image to extract the thing you want on the PIC… for now there is only three options save , share & copy.. I think this Gallery app will be the best thank you Nothing for this.

Been using it for a week. Sticking with Photos ATM as I use the image modification features that are missing from the NGallery app.

Good aesthetic tho

No. I ran it on NOS 2.6 and side loaded the APK directly. Just installed NOS 3.0 last night but all features were there with 2.6 including Google edit tools.

CMF1_hacker Lucky you I guess but no doubt since the app was designed for Nothing Phones so am sure it will work with 2.6 I said 3.0 because I did install 3.0 immediately when it was released so I wasn’t sure if it’s working with 2.6

Nothing001 yeah, I just wanted to let the old peeps stuck on NOS 2.6 that they can run it and it can employ Google editing tools.

I have not confirmed that it will back up to Google Drive or somewhere else online, so there is a reason to keep Photos on my phone.

Unless there is another way to upload to the cloud without Photos.

BassimBinYoosaf I removed Google Photos immediately when I bought my Nothing Phone am using Xiaomi Gallery app(because it has a lot of features…) but now that we have our own gallery app I am waiting for it to be fully functional & Imma remove the Xiaomi app.

Don’t get me wrong, but I’m disabling this app for now. I’ll re-enable it once Google Photos synchronization is added. All my photos are stored in Google Photos. So, I don’t need two apps for the same thing and purpose.

I have all of my digital photos back to 1999 stored and it would be nice to have a cloud-based option, so I’ll stick with Photos for now and hope that NGallery facilitates that transfer.

Overall it is very fast and easy to use.
