Just announced in[ today NothingOS 3.0 presentation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eV3Ch2lEr9Q), Nothing Gallery is finally coming after lot of feedback requesting it ever since NothingOS launch. Gallery will include in the future: automatic AI image categorisation, "more natural language search", and more AI features like AI Upscaling and Super Resolution and AI Image Generation. Nothing OS 3.0 and Gallery General release will begin in december. CMF1_hacker Lucky you I guess but no doubt since the app was designed for Nothing Phones so am sure it will work with 2.6 I said 3.0 because I did install 3.0 immediately when it was released so I wasn’t sure if it’s working with 2.6

Nothing001 yeah, I just wanted to let the old peeps stuck on NOS 2.6 that they can run it and it can employ Google editing tools.

I have not confirmed that it will back up to Google Drive or somewhere else online, so there is a reason to keep Photos on my phone.

Unless there is another way to upload to the cloud without Photos.

BassimBinYoosaf I removed Google Photos immediately when I bought my Nothing Phone am using Xiaomi Gallery app(because it has a lot of features…) but now that we have our own gallery app I am waiting for it to be fully functional & Imma remove the Xiaomi app.

Don’t get me wrong, but I’m disabling this app for now. I’ll re-enable it once Google Photos synchronization is added. All my photos are stored in Google Photos. So, I don’t need two apps for the same thing and purpose.

I have all of my digital photos back to 1999 stored and it would be nice to have a cloud-based option, so I’ll stick with Photos for now and hope that NGallery facilitates that transfer.

Overall it is very fast and easy to use.

What’s the use of this section in App Setting Page

Because everytime I select the folders mentioned in this it automatically gets deselect when i scroll down to select others & when i scroll back up then the down list gets deselected.

& When I select multiple times for it to get selected all then app crashes.

The only thing I don’t understand, and I haven’t downloaded the app yet, I’m just basing it on comments from colleagues, is that it’s not possible to use the app with the Google Photos app installed. How is that possible? I use a gallery app and Google Photos to back them up…

Lor_M182 You can use them both when you update to the latest version.

The only issue I’m seeing with it currently is that it won’t integrate with the camera app. So when you load a photo/video from the icon at the bottom left in the camera it will only open Google photos.

Currently if you disable Google photos and try to open a photo this way, even with the Nothing gallery app installed it won’t do anything.

I do this and both work correctly. Thus, I won’t delete Photos yet due to the backing-up. In addition, the editing options (Magic Eraser, etc…) from Photos are available through NGallery. The layout of NGallery is clean/pleasant/etc… but without backing-up, I can’t delete Photos.

I don’t see any issues with both installed.

The same is true for Dialer/NDialer.

Ryan Mine works super fine when I take a photo it automatically opens with NGallery…

KarlKeppler if Google to you is the best to someone else it might not be the best we all have different choices and taste that’s why the play store is loaded with different kind of gallery apps.

It really liked the nothing gallary. But we can make it more useful for the people who . To the ability to add tags for the photos or videos . So they can be searchable . Without giving permission to meta data they can user provided tags also for searching. 👍👍👍

I was able to install the gallery app this morning on my nothing phone 2. It showed in the list of apps needing an update in Google play store, and is now present on my device.

I am on 2.6, and I got the gallery app automatically installed on my phone today. But when I gave it all the files permission, I am seeing random screenshots, downloaded photos from facebook, twitter also in the Camera section, and not only my camera photos. Any fix for this sync issue?

Just installed the early access Nothing Gallery app, and it’s beautifully smooth to use! Everything’s great, but two things are missing:

1. Edit options within the app.

2. Nothing’s own photo filters.

Hope to see these features in the stable version. Also, how do we set it as the default gallery app?

Today I got the update for gallery and I didn’t find hidden album but in my CMF phone 1 it is showing. Please nothing fix this as soon as possible.
