Which device and software version.

Using the 2A Plus and Beta 3.0 you can not set the Nothing Gallery as default even if you disable Google Photos. After you take a picture and click on the photo you took in the camera app, nothing happens it will not load. So I think only the stable release allows you to set Nothing Gallery as default. So 2A Plus users will have to wait until next month to set as default when the stable is finally released on the 2A Plus.

KarlKeppler I am using phone 2a stable release of nos 3 and I can’t set nothing gallery as default gallery app. Disabling google photos doens’t help.

Oh that is strange, wierd how some people it works and other it doesn’t even though its the same hardware.

Same issue here but no response from nothing side despite of many Users reporting same

I don’t understand what’s wrong with the “Camera” opening “Google Photos”? That’s how it’s supposed to work since the “edit” function is only available in Google Photos.

Alexshax yeah but at some point Nothing Gallery Will have editing features as well, so Nothing will probably give an option to choose your default Gallery App. Remember Nothing Phones came Up without gallery because Nothing didn’t wanted a lot of preinstalled apps that would duplicate Google ones in a pointless way, so they chose to keep It clean. The gallery exist because users asked for it. So eventually it should be Nothing’s default Gallery App in my opinion.

Yes, it is an early access version. So, we should wait for final release which I suspect would arrive by Jan as NOS 3.0 official version releases to all devices

I installed the nothing gallery app from playstore. It works fine but if I open the photos from camera app it is not working. I disabled the Google photos app , forced stoped it but the nothing gallery is not opening. I restarted the phone re installed the gallery app but no change
