    Someone has to give a proper method to set Nothing Gallery as default app. I disabled Google Photos right after setting Fossify Gallery as new default on my 2a. What happened with Fossify Gallery was that when I opened a photo from camera it asked me what app to use, to which I selected Fossify Gallery and thatā€™s that.

    Popup for Nothing Gallery? No. I even uninstalled Fossify Gallery and opened a photo from camera, but nothing ever happened. Surely Nothing can implement an option in Nothing Gallery to set it as default media viewer from camera.

    SameetPalan Maybe it is related to other stuff. On my NP2 it worked right away after disabling Google Photos completely. Now everytime I preview a picture in the camera app, it is using Nothing Gallery, even though I do have two other gallery apps installed.

    However I have to say the Nothing Gallery is kind of lackluster as of now. I understand it is labled as a ā€œpreviewā€ version, however with OS 3.0 stable released, I hoped at least for a Nothing Gallery with all basic features working. But thatā€™s not the case:

    • Editing photos is not possible, the app prompts to open one of my other gallery apps, not even the most basic editing tools like lile cropping is available.
    • Setting a photo as wallpaper is bugged, the option is there in the menu, however when tapping it, it again prompts to open another gallery app.
    • No gif support at all. I know this is meant as a photo gallery, however all gallery apps Iā€™ve ever used have gif support. Nothing Gallery doesnā€™t even show my dedicated gif folder at all.
    • The integration for the camera app feels clumsy, it should come as a default once the Nothing Gallery is installed or at least be an option inside the settings menu.

    At least for me using Nothing Gallery as my only gallery app isnā€™t possible yet. I am looking forward to the future versions which hopefully will improve these things.

      They have released gallery app, but when you take pictures in camera and view the photos over there by clicking bottom portion, it takes to google photos only!

      Have a few feedbacks of the new Nothing Gallery App.

      First of all, I appreciate they launched this app and it looks overall good but they should improve it in the future like,

      1. Have no ā€œEditā€ option where other apps providing a lot.
      2. The app presently offers basic functionalities, lacking advanced features such as AI image categorization, natural language search and other features.
      3. Thereā€™s performance issues as well since itā€™s beta or newly released, so Iā€™d hope that they do much more in the future.

      Let yā€™all option share as well how it can be much better than othersā€¦

      Protip - Pinch and zoom to change the view. Works in Photos and Folders.

      I canā€™t see or canā€™t find a rewind strip in the new stock gallery

      In the Photos tab, it changes between rows of three, rows of 6, then by year.

      In the Albums tab, it changes it to a thumbnail preview instead of a text list.

      I FOUND THE SAFE FOLDER. ITS IN THE CURRENT RELEASE.

      Pinch and zoom on the Folders tab. It will change it to a thumbnail preview view instead of a list. Scroll all the way to the bottom. Theres two folders, Hidden and Recently deleted. Both need a fingerprint. Go to any photo, hit the three dots, and select Hide all the way at the bottom. That puts it in the Hidden folder.

      BOOM.

      There is no such option to change or setup password for hidden files in nothing gallery app..! The same password which weā€™ve given to our lock screen the same one is used as password for hidden files..! Should give an option to change or setup password for hidden files in nothing gallery (better if it opens only through biometrics).. and also there is no private space in any nothing phone..this helps to keep our data safe..this should be resolved and given in furtue updates..!!
