Is there any option to hide private photos in Nothing gallery

Hi, i’m just here to address a bug I noticed when using the app. When going through the camera album, it seems that the Facebook photos i’ve saved is merged into that album. But when I’m using Google gallery, they are separate and has its own album. I tried redownloading the Nothing Gallery app but it doesn’t get fixed. I find it kind of annoying and would like this to get fixed!

I appreciate the recent update to the Gallery app, especially the addition of essential editing tools such as crop, adjust, and presets. These features improve the overall user experience and bring convenience to quick photo editing directly within the app.

However, I believe there is still significant potential to enhance the editing capabilities further. As a user, I would love to see more advanced AI-powered tools integrated into the Gallery app. Here are a few suggestions:

Object Removal – Easily remove unwanted elements from photos.

AI Expand/Fill – Intelligently extend backgrounds to fit different aspect ratios.

Sky Replacement / Background Blur – Add creative options to improve aesthetic.

Portrait Enhancements – Lighting correction, skin tone balance, and more.

Auto Suggestions / One-Tap Edits – Smart recommendations based on the photo content.

These features are increasingly becoming standard across other platforms, and having them within the Nothing ecosystem would truly elevate the photo experience while keeping the clean and minimal UI that Nothing is known for.

P.S. I have already given the feedback in settings>system>feedback.

I request to increase the number of feedbacks on this topic so that Nothing works on it ASAP.

I couldn’t get navigated from camera app when I clicks the photos icon from there to see last or recent photos from gallery.

I’ve tried with restart, clear cache, reinstall.

But yet to get the solution. How to?

Issue Summary:

I’ve been facing a persistent issue with the default Nothing Gallery app on my Nothing Phone (2) ever since I started using the device. The problem has never been fixed through any software update to date.

Problems Noticed:

1. All photos from various folders (e.g. Facebook, Snapchat , Downloads, etc.) appear under the “Camera” folder.

2. Several folders are missing entirely in the Gallery app, even though they exist in the internal storage and contain photos.

3. Media from apps like WhatsApp and Telegram does not show up as separate albums/folders.

4. .nomedia files have been checked and removed where applicable.

5. Clearing cache/data, resetting the Gallery app, rescanning media, and trying all known troubleshooting steps have not resolved the issue.

6. Alternative gallery apps like Google Photos and Simple Gallery show all folders correctly — so the issue is exclusive to the Nothing Gallery app.

Cleared cache and data of Gallery app

Checked for .nomedia files and removed them

Rescanned media using third-party tools

Verified file structure using File Manager

Ensured media visibility is enabled in apps like WhatsApp

This issue clearly appears to be a bug or major design flaw in the Nothing Gallery app itself. It seriously affects daily usability and media organization.

I kindly request the Nothing software team to investigate and release a fix in an upcoming update. Many users seem to face similar issues, and we need this addressed urgently.

My dearest Nothing.

As much as I am ecstatic to finally have my hands on Nothing Gallery, it truly sucks. The pictures are taking forever to save after the edits - and guess what?

The picture I edited - as I saw it - the final picture, after it was saved (after almost 20 minutes) - it wasn’t the edit I wanted.

Please look into this.

Guyss!! i don’t if i am right or wrong? But nothing should include ai features for photo editing such a object remover using ai (atleast that one).. No wonder in my opinion nothing has one of the best os experiences when it comes to other Android companies..But the only area they lack at is including ai features atleast for photo editing in the next update..

If I visit a folder from files and open that image ising gallery app, then it shoud be editable, also I want to scroll and see the images in the folder by swapping to right or left.

Most of the options are not available if open an image from a folder.
