Glyphoe app concept - by Vishwam
Do you see yourself creating a nothing style dialer or a file manager, cause I’ve really gotten tired of the Google phone and contacts also the alternative I.e N dial has a lot of bugs and is missing so much; I would really love to see those apps someday soon. Please if u could just consider the thought
.
LowQi47 We are working on an update so stay tuned. N Dial will gradually evolve by time. It’s a passion project and needs a lot of work.
Hey Guys,
Any ideas or guesses what this app could be
hey mate,
my best guess is that it is a app through which you can set some default glyphs to some apps like whenever you open Amazon, it glyphs and whenever we open WhatsApp it glyphs differently.
but hey im very excited for the beta version to drop, so i wish you all the best and hope this app is of something useful.
Jaswanth_Kumar Thank you for your reply. But yes your guess is partially correct. Closed beta is nearing

Actually I am making a glyph-based app for Nothing phones. And app is somewhat ready and want to launch closed beta soon. I tried requesting their GDK API but they denied to give the API. I tried twice. First time when I tried I didn’t give any evidence as I didn’t start working on it but this time I gave screen recording, screenshots everything but then also they didn’t give the API. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge the steps to get their API?
But I had sent images and videos too. Before this I won’t be able to launch closed beta. So closed beta will arrive as soon as they give the API. It’s time now and I had shared concept few months ago Concept

I adore the idea - it was the first thing, what I thought will be good for phone. What should I do to get into closed beta?
Sergey_F Thank you for adoring. Closed beta is not released yet. It will be released as soon as they give give the GDK API key which they didn’t send yet. Without that you will have to turn on Glyph Interface Debug Mode from developer options that’s why waiting for the API and as soon as they send the API I will release the beta version
Looking forward to see how this turns out. Good luck mate.
Hey Nothing Community!
Hope you’re all doing well! Just wanted to share an update on the app I’ve been working on for Nothing phones. I’ve mentioned it before, but now I’m excited to announce that I’ll be rolling out a closed beta later this month!
Here’s a breakdown of what’s coming in the first build of the closed beta:
AI-Powered Glyph Suggestions: This feature will suggest ways to use the Glyph Interface with the apps you already have installed on your phone. It’s powered by AI to make the Glyph system more useful and intuitive in everyday use.
Adding Missing Features to Phone 1:
Glyph Timer (which is already available on Phone 2)
Volume Indicator (currently only on Phone 2)
Phone 2 Features for Phone 1:
Shake to Glyph Torch: A feature exclusive to Phone 2, but now coming to Phone 1!
Advanced Essential Notifications: You’ll be able to set custom Glyphs for your notifications. This will work similarly to Essential Notifications but with more flexibility. However, a small limitation is that you won’t be able to access or modify notification channels for individual apps (this is due to restrictions in Android Studio). So, you’ll still have the custom Glyphs, but without control over the notification channels.
Charging Meter for Phone 2A and 2A Plus: Bringing the charging meter from Phone 2 to the 2A and 2A Plus models!
That’s the first build in a nutshell! I’m really excited to get feedback from you all once the beta begins.
Quick question for you all—do you think these features are enough to launch the beta, or would you like to see more in the first release? I feel like this set of features is a solid start, but I’m open to suggestions!
And of course, huge thanks to the two people who helped me out:
Aryan_tghw for the coding—couldn’t have done it without your help!
@SelvaHari for the UI design—the app’s look and feel is all thanks to you.
@Ali Fakhruddin for your guidance throughout the process
RapidZapper for guidance for GDK process
Looking forward to your thoughts
