I just registered as owner of a brand new Nothing (2); will the feature for dual ringtone on dual sim configurations become available with Android 14?

I have found an app called dualsimringer that can do this.

You should allow notifications for this app to work.

Dear Team,

I have been using Nothing Phone2 for long time and recently I have added a second SIM card to my phone and I am trying to set a different ringtone for it but surprisingly I am not able to find it. Is it possible to set a different ringtone for each of them?

I’ve done this before on my other old Android phones but I can’t find a way to do so on the Nothing Phone 2.

    I miss this feature in my 2a. Have shared a feedback through Settings/System. request everyone to do the same to build some numbers.

    Please add this feature as soon as possible. This is a standard feature in many mobile phones, why not in the Nothing Phone 2?!

    arpan2308 Suggest Best Answer is not helping out here. Since I want to set a different ringtone for the office number and home number but this feature is not available. Hope Nothing will add this feature in the next update.

      I discovered after purchasing this missing functionality. I find it unthinkable that in 2024 a phone costing more than €500 doesn’t have the possibility to set two different ringtones on two different SIMs.

      The feature of assigning a personalized ringtone to your contacts is not enough.

      I use the phone with both a company SIM and a personal one and it is essential for me to know in advance who is calling me.

      Please provide as soon as possible to include this basic Android function which has existed for more than 6 years on lower-end devices

      Dear Nothing team, Is it possible to keep 2 separate ringtones for the the SIM1 and SIM2 in NP2a ? It helps, as one number is personal and the other is official.

        @Danny79 However, I totally agree with you, Danny. I think that, for folks like us, using the phone is one of the ways in which we try to demarcate our personal and professional lives.

          Can you tell me if there is the possibility of assigning a different ringtone to more than one contact in one shot?

          I have over 1600 contacts in my address book, and I’d probably need more than a whole day to assign a different ringtone to differentiate my personal contacts from the business ones.

          Is there any trick to pair them in one shot?

            I join myself for this improvment …

            I needed two sim phone for both work and personnal application. Coming feom orignal oneplus community ( op1,op3t,op8) because I loves the original way of thinking, I though that nothing was worth thé change for me’

            As I Can work from home /, overnight, it’s really convenient to hear if the phonecall IS for sim 1 “personnal” or sim 2 “work”, regardless of the contact calling.

            The lack of distinguishment between those 2 sim IS for me a Big issue. If you have 2 sims you shoud AT least do that !

            I consider sending black the (2) because of this. I would rather have 2 different phone, one for work and one for myself, instead of having one phone without distinguishment of sims, it’s a question or balance between work and personnal life.
