From nothing OS 2.0.4, I have been facing the issue regarding the dynamic refresh rate, and currently my nothing phone 2 is in the latest version 2.5.1 and still the issue remains.
When switched to dynamic refresh rate, the refresh rate locks at 120 fps even on the lock screen, which causes the battery to drain much faster. The phone only changes to 90 fps while using any app that does not support 120 fps.
I’m not even sure if the Nothing’s panel is an LTPO display panel, because I have only seen it switch between 60, 90, or 120 fps and nothing else.
The most funny part is that whatever the issue is, the customer service team only has a final answer regarding it, which is to visit the nearest service center, considering the fact that there are only a few service centers in India, especially in Kerala.
I think its better that nothing removes this fake act of promoting it as a LTPO panel with a variable refresh rate, so that at least people who are considering buying this phone won’t be receiving any fake information.
