I’ve been noticing that my Nothing Phone 2 with os version 2.0.3 doesn’t prioritize 5G over 4G, even though I have preferred network set to 5G and Smart 5 disabled.
In my area, 5G and 4G are both good, but I would prefer to use 5G whenever possible for the faster speeds. However, I’ve noticed that my Nothing Phone 2 will often switch to 4G, even when 5G is available while other phones like Realme X7 Max doesn’t have the issue.
I’m not the only one who has noticed this issue. I’ve seen other users report similar problems on the Nothing forums and on social media.
I’m hoping that Nothing will release a software update soon to fix this issue. In the meantime, I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and if you have any workarounds.
