frustrated with the delayed OS update for the Japanese version of the Nothing Phone (2a). One of the main reasons I chose Nothing was the promise of better support compared to other Japanese phones, which often get sidelined because Japan is treated as a separate category. I’ve been burned before. I switched to a google Pixel hoping for better support (which they are good at), only to be let down by poor hardware and a design I couldn’t stand. Nothing’s design is stunning, but now I’m starting to worry: will Japanese users always be stuck waiting for software updates just because it’s the ‘Japanese’ version? It’s disappointing and feels like history repeating itself.

PeterGordon Me too. Based on the reception got from the update, I don’t know if I’ll update when it’s offered anyway.
dylanknowsnothing I am under the impression that due to the feedback for the stable update being generally negative, they have halted the rollout to fix bugs

Rob still no auto rotation for homescreen, lockscreen and settings app. WHY IS THIS STILL GONE?!?!
