Nothing OS 3.0 | General Release

my NP2 just freezed what should i do now??

Does people make the mistake of purchasing Nothing 2(a) plus? . We always get updates very very late. From nothing perspect plus means minus..never treat Nothing 2(a) plus as valid divice.

The OS 3.0 video is simply beautiful, just like the OS itself. Nothing team deserves their flowers, outstanding work!

Rob Thanks for the stable version. Everything is working fine on NP 2a for now. However, I don’t see any camera improvements. Please improve the detail of the main and ultra wide lens photos. Thanks again.

I have tested NOS 3.0 past 2 hours from now

I have some disappointments:

1. Notification bar in NOS 2.0 was very good, changing it made no sense because that was holding a good amount of screen space. In 3.0 it is looking pretty small now.
2. Why the size of widgets in lock screen is made small. I was completely in love in the perfect size of lock screen widgets in 2.0
3. I’d kept torch(left side) and camera(right side) as lock screen shortcuts in my phone, and I was able to use torch from my right thumb but now I can’t BECAUSE nothing guys planned to shift the shortcut buttons to align the curvy-ness of the button with the curved edge of the screen, resulted in shifting the buttons a bit down.
4. The buttons in lock screen pin typing was V.V good in 2.0, now android 15 button animation in lock screen pin typing is utterly bad.
5. Still gallery app, smart drawer in beta, No countdown widget (NOS 3.0 youtube video flaunted much but this is all in betas)

I once again say notification drop-down bar is very badly designed

2.0 reflected the true tiled notification drop-down menu ( THAT WAS AWESOME NOTHING STYLE)

WHY 3.0 HAS BUTTONS(I’m not saying app icons) SMALL WHERE U KNOW NOTHING SCREENS ARE BIG.

Rob I am using the Nothing phone 2a in the Netherlands i didn’t get the update yet, but I am waiting for when it releases

I’m on the Beta release for 2(a) Plus. When will I get the stable release. There is no update available in System>Update

Also, will I lose data if I update to the stable release

Has everyone in the UK with the phone 2a gotten the update? Still have yet to get it. Can anyone help?

I think the new update is very good. It has important improvements to the UI.

But still, I think it would be so much better if the Nothing team could hear us all out on camera optimization and AI. Like we really need it now. It’s 2025 already…..

AA_ nothing yet, I’ve been checking for the past few hours too

The stable release also messed up Android 15’s support for CJK variable font when Inter is chosen as the default. This is a regression as CJK variable font was working in Phone 2 OS 3.0 Open Beta. This is disappointing to say the least.

Anybody know how to install it if your phone is rooted? It is just saying Installation Problem for me.
