Dear Nothing Team,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the recent Android 15 update and Nothing OS 3.0 on my Nothing Phone (2A). Before the update, I could seamlessly use the 5GHz band for hotspot tethering, which is crucial for my daily usage. However, after updating, the 5GHz option is no longer available, and the device states that it is not supported in my country, India.
This is unacceptable for a premium device like the Nothing Phone. The lack of clear communication about such changes, paired with the regression of functionality, has left me frustrated and dissatisfied. As a loyal customer, I expected better from Nothing and Android, especially when updates are supposed to improve user experience, not limit it.
I rely heavily on the 5GHz hotspot for work and personal use because of its superior speed and stability compared to 2.4GHz. The absence of this feature is a significant setback, and it feels like Iâm being penalized for updating my phone.
I request the following:
1. An explanation as to why this feature was removed.
2. A timeline for when this issue will be addressed in a software patch.
3. If a resolution isnât possible, guidance on how to roll back to a previous version of Nothing OS that supports 5GHz.
Please understand that such regressions damage user trust in the brand. I urge the team to prioritize this issue and restore the 5GHz functionality as soon as possible.
Thank you..
