hauntedwolf I don’t think Phone 2 have more bugs. Many phone 2 users have only minor issues. Just chill. Nothing didn’t run the company over 10 years. They will improve day by day month by month. If you are frustrated then sell this and buy another phone which prefers for you. Al

JefRoftin No offence here. Just read the post once again. In a customer POV it always make frustration about the issues. If there are issues it should be resolved.

Probably service provider problems like everyone else is saying, my np1 has been pretty much flawless even on the beta

I think its device specific. not sure. never faced this issue.

Well sometimes things get bad. Sometimes they are real good. Nothing is still a new company. People working here might be in this industry for a long time but making a new company in this era of mobiles, is very tough. Im sorry for you problems. Hope you don’t totally move on from the nothing system. But I hope you that you get the best experience that every person gets for using a phone.

There are some stupid bugs like the battery indicator of bluetooth earphones in quick settings shows the wrong battery %, it is when you go into the bluetooth device details that you get to know the real battery %.

Another bug is that screen doesn’t light up when watching HDR videos. Don’t know what parameters they considered before releasing the 3.0 so-called stable update. Also, camera should have been improved in 3.0 update but here we are…

I don’t have any problems with Nothing OS 3.0 myself, but I can say from my experience that every manufacturer, be it televisions, smartphones, cars, headphones, etc., always has a device that has errors. Be it that only one pair of headphones works, the smartphone constantly restarts itself, the car software goes crazy, the TV freezes, etc. and you are the only one experiencing the error. No manufacturer is safe from this (not even Apple, Xiaomi or Oppo). The only question is to what extent defective devices occur. A device of tens, hundreds, thousands… I’m sorry if you were unlucky enough to get hold of such a device.

Quick Update: I backed up my data and did a factory reset on my phone, which resolved most of the issues. Around 90% of the problems are fixed, though I’m unsure if they might return. For now, the UI feels much smoother.

After the 3.0 update, I noticed several bugs, like a random mouse cursor appearing (similar to using a Bluetooth mouse via OTG). That issue is now resolved. I also found the new app archive feature, which wasn’t available before the factory reset. However, I’m still unable to set wallpapers via the Nothing Gallery app. It works if I enable Google Photos, but that makes Google Photos the default, which is inconvenient.

Network issues are mostly resolved, though occasional inconsistencies remain, which seem to be caused by the operator.

With more storage now, the system feels fluid, but I still need to test it with heavy apps and games. I’ll provide an update after a week. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions—it really helped resolve these issues.

Have you been installing non play store apps? It sounds like spyware is making your phone lag. My Phone 2 runs nothing like you describe.

The phone slowness is pretty real after 3.0 installation. After pressing the lock button it actually takes 2-3 seconds to turn the display off.

Faced the issue of phone restarts, never happened with 2.6 but with 3.0 it’s happening often. Not sure how to collect the logs and report it. I feel even the beta release was more stable.

The thing is they are very bad in transitioning Android. I did a reset today sacrificing my Sunday and everything is working fine. Its even more smooth now. Battery backup is very good. Hope I don’t jinx it. 🫤

I recently updated to the latest OS, and after updating, I factory reset the phone. I am so frustrated with this OS that I’m about to drop this line for being unreliable

Numerous times, the phone overheats while idle, and the temporary system files grow at an alarming rate! See the attached screenshot

In terms of what you experienced, at the end of the day, our experience will be all different. If you faced the issue, I would strongly recommend contacting Nothing Support. They will probably assist you with your issue.

hauntedwolf facing no issues with the latest stable Nothing OS 3.0 update so far, loving it.

hauntedwolf then it sounds like there’s malware running in the background. The phone lags because the apps you are aware of using are not the only ones active.

I am done with with some things. Bought presents for family, finished workout for the day. Few things left 🤖
