Welcome to the second Nothing Community Monthly Photography Challenge! @Rob ⚡️ and I loved seeing everyone’s entries for last month’s theme, ‘People & Portraits’.

Congratulations to @bhanuchandra_95, @Aditya , and @Swastik_VP7OUzu6rH who shot some of our favourite photos last month. You can check out their entries here.

For the month of November, the theme is ‘Light & Shadow’. For those of us in London, the days are getting shorter and the sun is becoming rarity, so we’ll need to get creative. For those celebrating Diwali, you might have lots of beautiful lights to photograph! Let your creativity shine through, and look out for spontaneous photo opportunities throughout the month.

We’ll share our top 3 favourites here on nothing.community. Post your photography under this post and share the story behind the image, plus what device or camera and settings you used. If you’d like to share on social media, tag #withNothing if you’ve shot on a Nothing Phone.

Below are some examples shot by @adbo and I this month on Phone (2). Happy shooting - we can’t wait to see your shots!

Rise and stretch - Shot on Phone (1)

    At 1,925 metres high.

Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka, India.

I found a stranger sitting on the edge of one of the rock. I shouted at him from a distant and asked him to stand up and stretch his hands and he agreed to it.

Later he came back towards me to check the photos I had clicked, and he was fully surprised with the result and this made his day ✨. Cuz the climb to this peak was okay.

Architecture models for our Building Construction subject.

RCC Dome - Shot on iPhone 13

Warren Truss Bridge - Shot on Phone (1)

Between the hustle and bustle of the subway, I capture fleeting moments of life. Patterns, Lights, Reflections and what not.

Here are some photos which depicts the play of lights play of lights and reflections.

I shot this picture after my birthday party all the decorations were taken off and I took this picture of what remained…

Shot this picture of my niece and her friend while we were on a walk #withnothing

        Natalie ✨

The above two shots , i had taken during a festival in a temple near my native place. As the sky got darker, and the diyas were lit, there was silence all around , it was a very beautiful moment to be in, hence I captured these shots.

This shot has been taken while passing through a small alley in the dark , the streetlights along with the trees made it very aesthetic to look at, unfortunately i was not able to shoot it clearly, but nevertheless got a decent shot.

P.S : All pics have been shot using my Nothing Phone(1) #withNothing

Natalie ✨ I guess it’s the time to repost that photo cause it perfectly fits the theme of this month !
        Say hello to Tornado!

I shot the picture at Krishnagiri, the birds perching on the temple tree silhouetted against the sunset sky.

        Titans and The Electric Sky

I was driving down to Goa via Anuskura Ghat. It was a windy thunderous late evening when we stopped to take a break. It was pitch black with only a few vehicles lighting the way. It’s when I noticed just two trees on a mountain top lit-up with lightning flashes in the backdrop, I decided to try to capture the moment. I took a few shots in generic automatic settings with ‘Night Mode’ turned on hoping to grab a shot of what looked like two titans standing to the might of the lord of lightning!

Out of the 4 shots I took, this one was timed perfectly. 🙂

        Unedited - captured by Nothing Phone (1) - A063

        ƒ/1.88 ⅙ 5.59mm ISO3508

Natalie ✨ shot this spontaneously. My friend was busy on the phone while doing Red Light Therapy. Felt this urge to click this on my OnePlus 7 Pro. Have only increased the Red a bit and pulled down the contrast a little bit.

Reaching out - is what I felt this Frame is saying.
