Kiss Mode - Keep It Simple Stupid - Mode.

What I love is the animations of the search bar and how your one search term can populate many potential results in paralell. Such as you tube brave duck duck go etc.
The features that the default nothing laucher is aiming for is amazing especially with the AI categories and grouping.
If the default search bar can function like that of the kiss launcher and feature set you are truly on to something special in my humble opinion.
If this can be enable as a native ALT feature of the nothing launcher, then this would be great.
But I would settle for a highly configurable widget search bar with the same features provided it has a small memory and resources foot print like the Kiss Launcher.
- I love this launcher due to the search feature implimentation, it reminds me of Linux Ubuntu Unity desktop GUI.
- It also reminds me of Linux GNOME GUI.
There is a offline AI qpp called Private AI that works offline with very small AI models. These smaller models are not as accurate as large models that require more resources that only an online solution can provide; however if this feature can be implemented locally and fenced off with a strong and morally sound approach that do not hinder the user nor introduce perceived bias. Then the nothing echo system will trully be useful offline aswell giving the phone more purpose than a mere thin-client in some use cases, local AI can give the nothing phone a truly valueable and even more beloved presence in customers lives like the black berry days.
( If you ain’t got a nothing phone you ain’t saying NOTHING!)
The reason I also brought up the possibility of integrating local AI is because the feature set of the KISS launcher would have a drop the MIC moment if one of the parallel search option that present it self would take what ever you have types and present the option to feed it in to the built in local language model AI or to divert it to use the more powerful online SAS solution by nothing that can generate images music video etc. All these options can be enabled or disabled by user like the Kiss Launcher.
Please consider my suggestions and even reach out to the developer of the kISS Launcher to remimplement his work as a Widget.
Some users love a clean uncltered desktop that really shows off their wallpaper and with a swipe up from the buttom a widget drawer can pop up if the user would prefer a desktop with out a at a glance approach to access resources but rather at a swipe up to bring thier configures widget card into view.
Or even better yet swipe up from the button and a dial that you can arc from left to right with your thumb will bring up a partially tranaparent and frosted glass like cards that relate to different resources that widgets may convey.
For example
- A card for bitcoin and stock market events.
- A card for social media stream widgets.
- A card for Nothing news promotions and community forum events.
- A card for music widgets, Spotify YouTube subsonic client widget or Tidal.
- A card for new widgets from ground news, twitter, reddit etc.
Cards can also follow the nothing os theme of the buds pro app or even be solid colours that have the same colour options as the buds pro 2.
One last request Futu Keyboard in my humble opinion has taken a very unique approach to what a keyboard can be and a Futu Nothing Edition keyboard would be amazing to have, provided, ethos for both would not be compromised.
I am the proud owner of a CMF phone and Buds Pro. I love the device.
I have also updated my device to NOS 3.0 ( amazing work)
This approach and community envolvement will pay off in the longrun and solidify brand loyalty. Keep it up Nothing, Thanks for not doing nothing in the mobile space.
