Firmware rollouts are usually staggered, meaning not all users will receive the update simultaneously. This approach allows us to monitor for any issues and ensure a smooth and stable deployment.

Nothing OS 3.0

This update transitions you to the official release of Nothing OS 3.0, powered by Android 15. Full of exciting new features and improvements to enhance your everyday experience. Hereโ€™s whatโ€™s in store:

Shared Widgets

๐Ÿ”ฎ Use widgets to link up with friends and family. See another personโ€™s widgets displayed on your home screen and interact with each other through reactions. A new way to stay connected.

Shared Widgets are currently only supported between Nothing devices. And only Photo Widgets (square) can be shared. We are rapidly developing support for other widgets, so stay tuned!

Notes: As Shared Widgets are in beta, you might encounter some issues. We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance your experience.

Lock screen

๐Ÿ”’ Introduced new lock screen customisation page. Access by long-pressing the lock screen or via the Customisation page.

๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ Choose from a range of new Clock face styles.

๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Expanded widget space, allowing you to place more widgets on your lock screen.

New app drawer style

๐Ÿค– Added AI-powered Smart Drawer to automatically categorise your apps into folders, keeping your app drawer organised and making apps easy to find.

๐Ÿ“Œ Now you can pin your favourite apps to the top of the app drawer for quick access to your favourite apps.

Enhanced pop-up view

๐Ÿ“ฑ Drag the pop-up view to any position on the screen, for convenient multitasking.

๐Ÿ“ Easily resize the pop-up view by dragging the bottom corners.

๐Ÿ“ Pin the pop-up view on the screen edge, for speedy access.

๐Ÿ”” Swipe down incoming notifications to enter the pop-up view. Allows you to quickly view information without leaving your current app. Enable via Settings > Special features > Pop-up view.

Elevated design

๐Ÿงฉ Redesigned Quick Settings, and an optimised editing experience. Allows you to effortlessly tailor your shortcuts to your preferences.

๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Redesigned widget library. Choose your favourite Nothing Widgets or swipe left to browse third-party widgets.

๐ŸŽจ Enhanced Settings with updated UI visuals. Network & Internet and Bluetooth options now display current connection.

๐Ÿ‘† New Dot animation for fingerprint unlocking and charging.

Other improvements

๐Ÿค– Allow AI to learn your usage habits and prioritise your frequently used apps. Keeps them active for longer intelligently for a smoother and more efficient experience.

๐Ÿ”‹ Improved the lock screen charging status display to help you easily know the charging speed at a glance.

๐Ÿ—ƒ๏ธ Added support for auto-archive function. Automatically frees up storage space without removing apps or data from your device.

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ New partial screen sharing, so you can record just an app window rather than the entire screen.

๐Ÿš€ Updated setup wizard to version 3.0 for a smoother introduction.

โฌ…๏ธ Enabled predictive back animations for apps that have opted in.

Notes:

During the upgrade, the system will optimise in the background to enhance your user experience. The device may experience temporary overheating and increased power consumption, but will quickly return to normal after the upgrade is complete.

    Many thanks!!!!!!!

installing now โ€ฆ I have to run to invigilate an exam โ€ฆ I wanted to play with it but will have to wait ๐Ÿ™

super fast download (1-2 min or so), optimisation takes about 7-10 mins, restarting now. we use it and let you know if any issues occur that are new since the beta. first start up is slow (usually the full reboot is about 45 seconds). Finishing system update.

Checking the gym apps (Technogym) as Iโ€™m heading to gym after the exam. Everything looks great ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

CMF1_hacker nothing is changed in nothing 3 stable, it is same as beta

For 120 fps many aps i downgrade to 2.6 android 14 now stable available worried size is same brothers 1.44 gb beta was they make fooling us maybe

Those people, please install it, your ass will burst. Let the review come. Still, size is beta, it is 1.44 GB. Recommend, donโ€™t install.

Beta and stable is same 1.44 gb some apps dont support 120fps thatโ€™s why I downgrade to 14 for this now beta and stable update same sizes Iโ€™m worried about it I donโ€™t know what team going to give us but I dont install it now until reviews come keep fooling us

I donโ€™t game and donโ€™t have any issues so far.

I did have some charging issues with NOS 3.0beta where the charging speed would differ when the cable was inserted with the screen locked or unlocked.

It was capped at 12W when the screen was locked and 28W when it was unlocked. This was with a PD3.0 PPS-enabled ANKER charger (Nano 3 (511)) that I picked up for ยฃ10.

Hopefully that is fixed. Otherwise, itโ€™s been stellar on beta and thatโ€™s a very minor gripe.

Just installed 3.0 stable but as i was Beta user nothing seems different everything is same as beta 3.0, One thing which is bothering is i can still see the update to beta version option in my setting. Like am i still a beta user or did i transitioned to stable user๐Ÿค”

        • (Edited)

Just now updated, and found no issues so far, changes seems to be minor, feels like NOS 2.7 or 2.8.

When comparing with Android v14, v15 itself have no major changes.

Found one: No private space!! (one of the major feature in android 15)

        Overall ok, little smoother animations.

        This is stable version

So i just noticed cmf phone doesnโ€™t have always on display option itโ€™s weird coz nothing phone 1 got tht with Nothing Os 3 update i was kinda hoping from devs to add this feature but sadly they didnโ€™t i hope they will listen to the feedbacks and will implement on the upcoming updates
