I recently bought the Phone 2a an the display is so bad, it has an overall pink tone to it, the white colour is showing as a light pink. The contrast color accuracy everything is messed up because of this pink tone. it doesn’t even feel like a amoled, its more like an lcd panel from a really cheaper phones. I compared it with my Phone 1 which was my previous phone before phone 2 and the color difference is so huge. You used such a cheap display on Phone 2a and you claim it to be better than Phone 1.

So i went through a thorough research to understand whether its a defective unit or is it how this display is and surprisingly i found out that its how the display is and it is really bad. If i had knew this issue before buying i would have never bought this device. Your claim of it being better than Phone 1 display and the lack of a physical store where i can experience the display lured me into this trap.

I am here to make a suggestion to please look into this issue and compare both the phone 1 and phone 2a display and if you can change the color tone to make the color balance better. Make the whites white rather than pink through the updates if it is possible. I hope you take this suggestion as a request and try to improve it through some updates.

I hope this reaches you and you will be able to write me back through the email if you can sort this out or it cannot be changed. Hoping for a better and more color accurate display. @Carl @Rob ⚡️

Did you resolve the pink screen? Sadly I too noticed the pink screen on my 2a yesterday. I attempted to change the display tone to cool, but it’s whiter if set on the middle default setting? Unfortunately resulting in no improvement. I compared it to my old phone Google pixel 2xl which is 2016 and itself has a blue screen issue when you view it from any side angle. But the screen when viewed straight on is really nice and clean, whites look naturally white. I still use my 2xl for trips and events when I need a reliable camera which produces quality results every time. I noticed it preparing my 2xl for another planned trip soon and took some sample photos and noticed how much better they looked through my 2xl whilst on Google photos site? Side by side, they simply looked clean and whiter, whilst my 2a screen looked, dull and pink? I’ve already had to accept that my pixel 2xl’s 12mp camera produces superior results, to my 50mp 2a, and now the 2xl screen is proving to be better? Perhaps I should consider google’s new pixel 9a? With it’s reliable camera and 5100mah battery? Just accept I can’t have it all from a budget mobile, sad really, because I bought my wife a 2a as well and we both love the user experience of the phones, but let’s face it, the essential part of any mobile phone, are their screens.
