i have updated my #nothingphone2 with latest OTA 2025-01 security patch. since then i have noticed nearly 10% battery in daily usuage. in NOthing OS 2.6 battery SOT was very good.

is latest nothing OS 3 drains battery fast?

vlsijp yes I do feel the same. Even my np2 battery is draining fast post security patch update. Thanks for highlighting

What is worrying, is that they don’t have anyone skilled in battery optimisation. The updates should never have been released in this state. It is like my 2010 Galaxy 1!

Huawei were really good at battery optimisation and I bought several. If this doesn’t improve it will be my last Nothing phone …

Still a have security threat not yet solved.

I am writing to report a persistent security concern with your device. Even when my phone is locked, it is possible for a third party to turn it off without requiring any password or PIN. This poses a significant security risk

RedhunPR Yes, I’m facing the same issue. Suddenly tap to and lift to show lock screen options are not working.

Hey! I suggest messaging nothing customer support via the feedback built into your phone. Since I experienced the same problem as you. As my phone was unable to receive or detect updates for my Nothing Phone 2 and I am situated in Hong Kong. I even waited until the end of January. The support responded quickly and gave me update OTA and told me to manually install the OS.

There is also one more security issue, even though i have disabled quick settings on lock screen, when there are notifications on lock which overflow into icons at the end and if we click it then entire notification panel with quick settings is opened , which is an issue.

In 2.0 when we click on notification icons it used to ask for login passcode or fingerprint.

After updating your Nothing Phone 2 to Nothing OS 3.0, the “wake up animation” that starts from the point where you touch the screen to activate, it is no longer working correctly.

I have the Nothing Phone 2 running Android 15 and Nothing OS 3.0, and I am unable to enable call waiting. I could be on a call, but I would miss the other call because I was on another call, and I had no option but to switch to the other call.

When I missed a call while on another call, it did not show up in my call logs, but I do know that I missed it because my phone provider SMSed me that I missed a call from +614********.

Can I enable/fix this, as I can not afford to miss any calls?

Daniel, I have emailed my MVNO phone provider and will wait for their response.

I have also tested my SIM card in another old phone the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G running Pixel Experience Plus ROM, Android 13 and no issues. Seems to be a Nothing OS issue.

SamLazar Call waiting is a network provided feature, and as you have proved, it is working on another device.

In Australia, you can also use a short code to enable/disable/check the status of call waiting:

Check status: Dialing “*#43#” will tell you if call waiting is currently active.
Activate: Dialing “*43#” will turn call waiting on.
Deactivate: Dialing “#43#” will turn call waiting off

TeeEeeBee I have tried this with a 3rd party call waiting app, where it would do the dial pad codes for me, but same issue.
