I am facing significant network issues with my Nothing Phone (2a) when using 5G networks. Here’s my experience so far:

1. While using Jio True 5G, I encountered frequent call drops. To ensure it wasn’t a network issue, I tested the same Jio SIM on other devices in the same location, and it worked perfectly fine.

2. Frustrated with the call drops, I ported my number to Airtel. Now, the phone shows a 5G network, but the data being consumed is restricted to 4G speeds. This happens even after recharging with an unlimited 5G data plan.

The primary function of a smartphone is to ensure seamless connectivity, and these recurring network issues are frustrating and disruptive.

Nothing team should prioritize resolving these network optimization problems as they are fundamental to the user experience.

    Turtle_shell It’s Not A Phone Issue,

    It’s an Issue with Airtel 5G In General.

    Used To Face The Same With My Previous Phone (iQOO 7) with Airtel But Never Faced Anything Like That With Jio even on my iQOO and My Current Nothing Phone 2.

    What I Believe To Be The Problem Is That Even Though It Shows 5G at times It’s Still 4G which is when the data is used. If the speeds are 30-40ish and it shows 5G , in Airtel’s case I beleive it’s still 4G which is why the data gets over.

    Lol I thought I was the only one. Jio sent me a msg that you have welcome offer with truly unlimited 5G probably because I had not used 5G on this number before. So I changed network to 5G on the phone. But still the data is being consumed from 4G quota and no unlimited 5G anywhere to be seen.

    The 5g unlimited data issue is if you turn on smart 5g you can’t get 5g unlimited data so turn off this option.settings->Internet ->sim select ->and goes down the smart 5g is enabled so turn off and get 5g unlimited data 👍

    My Device name is nothing 2a , in my Device 5g Airtel network is connected but the problem is 4G data is consuming . I have already contacted Airtel customer care but they r not resolved my problem.Is their any solution for this ?? Is this issue with network or device issue??
