4g performance when connected to a 5g network

I am facing significant network issues with my Nothing Phone (2a) when using 5G networks. Here’s my experience so far: 1\. While using Jio True 5G, I encountered frequent call drops. To ensure it wasn’t a network issue, I tested the same Jio SIM on other devices in the same location, and it worked perfectly fine. 2\. Frustrated with the call drops, I ported my number to Airtel. Now, the phone shows a 5G network, but the data being consumed is restricted to 4G speeds. This happens even after recharging with an unlimited 5G data plan. The primary function of a smartphone is to ensure seamless connectivity, and these recurring network issues are frustrating and disruptive. Nothing team should prioritize resolving these network optimization problems as they are fundamental to the user experience.

There is issue with 5G network on this phone even if the 5G network is available in that area. When restarted the phone, it gets connected. When checked with other phones (OnePlus), they do get the 5G network.

Do Anyone facing the problem with the network fluctuations of 5g to 4g and my Sim 2 didn’t activated after once it disable ; I can’t enable it again

I frustrated with 2a plus phone 5G issue . Company claim device is 5G but this phone performance 4G network connectivity. In my area 5G is actived but in my device 4G data getting consumed on unlimited 5G Plan with Airtel . In my brother phone Vivo T2 pro doesn’t have any issue related 5G in same location. I very excited to use nothing phone but now I regret why I bought nothing phone . If you have same issue please comment on this and like to got the issue nothing team.

If you see clearly in screenshot you see 5G but this phone perform 4G . If this post see the nothing team please solve the issue

BittuKumar_UpluUiSTMD I’m not sure whether the issue was with Airtel or my Nothing Phone 2a, as I faced the same problem.

Airtel 5G was not working on my device, while other family members had no such issues in the same location. I have now ported to Jio 5G, and I can use unlimited 5G without any problems. It might be an issue with both Airtel’s NSA 5G and the Nothing Phone. I’m not a tech expert, so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

SubrahmanyaHegde I ported in jio 5G 4 months ago jio 5G has 5G slow internet issue that’s why I Ported to Airtel but now airtel has another issue . Might be nothing phones not supported airtel 5G properly.

JohnTheDon dial *#*#4636#*#* go to phone info set preferred network type to NR only. Now your phone won’t switch to 4G.

Facing 5g network issue on Nothing Phone 2a. Phone most time switches to 4g from 5g. Also when phone is locked it goes offline. My friend has a Samsung phone. He is not facing this type of network problem while both having Jio sim.
