Battery Share Error - Phone (2)

Whenever i start my battery share to charge any of my devices it will only charge for few minutes (5-10 min) and after that it turns of automatically.

Do you also expect this issue

Yes facing same issue ….. with Galaxy Watch 4 …. starts charging for few seconds and then Battery share turns off ….. pathetic

JasminDedania This is actually normal behaviour. The Galaxy Watch 4 requires the device youre using to charge to be WPC based charging which is something that Samsung primarily uses.

Your phone only supports Qi wireless charging hence why you won’t be able to wirelessly charge your Galaxy Watch 4 (along with some other devices).

Derren But it happens to every device i have been tried to with my galaxy buds 2 as well as with samsung s22 phone aswell, !!!!!

HarshitGautam My response was in regards to the comment above which mentioned the Galaxy Watch 4. As this device has WPC based charging, it will run into issues, the same goes for other WPC based charging products.

If you’re having issues charging products that do not apply to the above then some more troubleshooting is required. Please try the following:

Restart device
Apply latest updates
Toggle battery share off/on
See what settings are applied within the battery share page, by default your phone will not battery share below 30%
Make sure nothing is interupting charging such as an accessory, case etc

Try these steps first and let us know if that fixes the issue.

HarshitGautam Both those devices use the WPC powershare protocols. If you wanna blame anyone you can blame scamsung for their idiocy.

Anything that supports the Qi Wireless charging specification is supposed including the nothing buds 2 as well as even iphones at 5 Watt which are also Qi compliant.

would you mind answering mine another issue (not an issue exactly ) but the refresh rate doesn’t go down to 1hz unless i increase my brightness to max or above 70 to 80% why so, otherwise it remains at 120 for the system app and 90 for the third party apps i think i should drop to 1 when i am not touching the screen irrespective of brightness level????

Is this a bug or what?

Derren I have been facing the same issue. I have EAR 2 and I am trying to charge it with PHONE 2. But it just charges for a few minutes and then stops. When I unlock my phone to check it shows battery share is turned off. (Happens on its own).

I have tried to do it enough number of times (tried just before posting as well). I also made sure to remove the phone case.
I am on N OS 2.5.1.A.

Few things to check

Check battery share settings to see if there is currently a battery limit in which the phone will stop charging the other device. This should be set to 30% by default.
The phone will also stop battery share if it doesn’t detect another device. Make sure your ear 2 case actually needs charging.
Try charging other devices using battery share. Also try wirelessly charging your ear 2 with another wireless charger if you have one. This should narrow down the issue a little further.
