I’m facing a strange issue on my Nothing Phone (2) with OS 3.0 when using a DAC-less USB-C to 3.5mm dongle (since the NP2 has an inbuilt DAC).

Issue Details:

When I connect the dongle to AUX, the audio switches to the phone speaker instead of the AUX output.

When I unplug the dongle, the headphone icon appears, but there’s no sound from the speaker.

It behaves as if the sound is going through USB-C, even when no device is connected.

Has anyone else faced this issue? Any fixes or workarounds?

Abhinav hey mate. Sorry to hear this. Does the sound come back when you reboot your phone?

Have you considered backing up/resetting your device to see if it’s a software bug that is easily ironed out?

If you continue to face issues I’d log feedback via settings > system > feedback and consider logging a support ticket https://nothing.tech/pages/contact-support

hrry changed the title to USB-C to 3.5mm Dongle (DAC-less) - Help .

hrry Yeah, sound comes back after a quick reboot, and I’m also pretty sure that this happened only after OS 3.0 update, Previously on 2.0 is works flawlessly…

I have also raised this issue on Feedback, waiting for reply….
