I am trying to use my dongle, which uses a 31993 DAC chip.
It works perfectly when the phone is unlocked, but as soon as it goes to the lock screen, it only takes a couple of seconds for the audio to start stuttering heavily. The only way to fix it is to return to the music application (in my case, Spotify), stop playback, wait for the stuttering to fully stop, and then start playback again.
I’ve also noticed that after rebooting, it takes a while before the issue appears. This makes me fairly certain it’s a NothingOS/Android kernel issue.
I’ve looked everywhere and haven’t found a solution yet.
I have tried:
Default USB configuration → No data transfer
Allow unrestricted background activity for both Spotify and Poweramp Equalizer
Enable “Improve OTG Compatibility”
Hopefully, Nothing will push an update to fix these dongle DAC failures.
