KushPatel1605 Hey, I’d love to help you but need more information, what are you trying to do and what are the steps you tried, a screen recording would be helpful.
Assign essential glyph to a contact - Help
Daniel Sorry I didn’t see the message anyways, I would like to set essential notifications for specific conversations(chats) For eg- an office group or personal chat, in WhatsApp which for reason got removed but it was present when I bought the phone 2a in march last year.
I can set essentials but it applies for all group chats rather than giving me the selection which is not convenient as glyph would lit up for unimportant ones too.
KushPatel1605 That’s odd, how does your settings -> glyph interface -> notifications -> Add new essential list looks like? empty?
Daniel No, it looks like this and it’s the problem sometime ago it showed individual chats and groups rather than showing just group notifications or message notifications
KushPatel1605 Thanks for sharing a screenshot, have you tried reinstalling WhatsApp? - backup your WhatsApp data before.

Daniel No, I haven’t thanks, will try it and be back.
Edit: It didn’t work it shows the same options as it did before uninstalling it

KushPatel1605 I also assume your Settings -> Notifications -> Conversations list is empty? I find this very odd since in the the screenshot you attached the WhatsApp name is “com.whatsapp” instead of “WhatsApp” - what device/OS/app versions are you using?
- (Edited)
Daniel No, it has some recent conversations, and about “com.whatsapp” it got renamed when I reinstalled whatsapp as you can see in the screenshot prior to this it said WhatsApp.
edit: Device- Phone 2a ; OS- 3.0(Jan patch) ; WhatsApp version- 2.25.5.74
