Anonymous784 I know, late to this party… but the Essential Space/button is for many a complete waste of space… and worse, wastes time and effort with multiple unwanted/unintended screenshots etc. The function and its button placement is, to many, the perfect example of crap design/placement. The inability to deactivate or remove Essential Space function and change the button function, or deactivate it is pure stupidity and arrogance of vast expanse from Nothing. Customers (remember those, Nothing, they/we pay your wages!) are treated like robotic morons without the right and intelligence to choose. If only there was a half decent non-contentious/devious manufacturer and phone. Is there?
My simple solution to the Evil button/function? Cut a slim sliver of hard thin plastic, with a bottom radius if possible, but not critical. have this extend some mm above and below the damn button (but not foul the On/Off button above it) and SuperGlue it - NOT on the phone, but on the supplied case. This stops intentional and unintentional activation of the Evil button by stopping the inward movement of theexternal button on the outside of the phone case. Works a treat! I bet the moneymen will offer a revised case option including this addition… for $/£50 or so.
Sometimes the plebs have to find the solutions, in spite of the arrogant “higher ups”.
