Hi Team,
I’ve noticed that the Power Off Verify feature on my Nothing phone isn’t functioning as expected.
Even though the toggle is enabled (Settings → Security → Power Off Verify, my device still powers off or restarts without asking for the lock screen password or pattern when it’s locked.
As per the feature description, it should prevent others from powering off or restarting the device without verification, especially when the phone is locked , which helps in theft or loss situations.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable Power Off Verify in the settings.
2. Lock the device.
3. Try to power off or restart the phone.
4. Device shuts down without asking for password/pattern.
Expected Behavior:
The phone should ask for the lock screen password/pattern before powering off or restarting.
Actual Behavior:
The device powers off directly without verification.
Device Details:
Model: Nothing Phone 3a
OS Version: Nothing OS 3.2 / Android 15
Security Patch: 1 September 2025
Please look into this issue or share any workaround if available.
Thanks!
