I too own the phone 2a the camera is good to capture the scene but it needs some optimization in hdr processing and a improvements in night processing tone down the agressive processing of street lights but when we manually tone down the exposure it will take good pictures

Kudos, these are some nice shots, lighting in the last one is especially amazing

there are a lot of improvements Nothing team can do, including providing better HDR, access to 50MP camera in Expert Mode, Faster Post-Processing, Improvements in Cinematic Videography among others, that are directly software related.

Looks like few of your shots are in Auto Focus and one can clearly see the places where the camera fails to live up to expectations and behaves like a mid-level smartphone.

I also feel there has been a little downgrade from when I bought the Phone 2a when it released vs after the Updates, stock camera settings seemed good back then. I don’t know why but this has been my experience with few of the newer smartphones. Hope this trend doesn’t continue or I’ll be forced to give iPhone a try.

Bro sorry to say that nothing doesn’t have a specific cinematic video mode. And all the Nothing phones camera is capable of supporting a cinematic mode. This is a huge drawback of the camera of Nothing currently. Also I think the night sight in 1x and 2x zoom has to be solved in Nothing phone 2,I am not really sure about the other devices. But I really think these issues need to be solved.

Sorry to say there’s nothing special in them photos. In fact any phone in similar price range will take similar if not better shots. The camera on the 2a is below average and quite poor in night time.

BassimBinYoosaf you’re right there is potential in silicon that has not been fully utilised by software

SauravGhosh_YSyIGtH5QM that’s what I’m referring to, if the optimizations are done correctly the camera can do far better, as can be seen in Expert Mode

FarseenAhammed your shots have really nice lighting and positioning except aren’t they zoomed more than 2x ? I think any samsung mobile would have done a better job in this scenario, because of architecture training they’ve done on their post processing software.

Btw, I’m curious as to where was this taken?
