So my Phone (2) has this weird rippling on the sides of the screen that does not allow glass screen protectors to lay flat without bubbles on the edges. Tried multiple different ones, same problem across the board, so I just bought GadgetShieldz’s plastic film protector.
I put their plastic film screen protector on my Phone (2), and it has been good so far. Everything works just as it did before. I ordered the “casefit” version, which I think might just mean they shave a little bit off around the edges, so it’s not exactly edge-to-edge, particularly on the top and bottom. And the edges aren’t super sharp. It is one of those self-healing, hydrogel type ones, so it’s a little thicker than regular plastic ones and with the screen off there is a bit of an orange peel effect like on automotive clear coat (not visible with the screen on).
I also think I might have pressed a little too hard squeegeeing one side, cause about half the screen has a bit of streaking under the film that I can see on a white background, but it hasn’t bothered me too much.
Overall, I’m happy with the product. If it’s damaged I would buy again. 👍
