I wanted to share my recent experience with my Nothing Phone 2 and the screen protector. I purchased my Nothing Phone 2 with great excitement on October 26, 2023, and immediately opted for the official Nothing screen protector to keep my device in pristine condition. Little did I know that my journey with the screen protector would be anything but smooth.
After installing the Nothing screen protector, I noticed a peculiar issue – eight air bubbles forming in a line on the right edge of the screen protector. I tried reapplying it, thinking it might have been my mistake during the installation, but the problem persisted. Determined to find a solution, I even switched to a third-party tempered glass protector and had it installed by a professional, hoping for a quick fix. Unfortunately, the issue still remained, leaving me frustrated and confused.
On November 8, 2023, I decided to reach out to Nothing’s customer care to seek guidance. The customer care executive suggested that I visit the nearest service center located at 2, Raja Subodh Mullick Square, Near-Hind Inox, 1st floor, Kolkata - 700013, India.
Visiting the service center on November 9, 2023, was the next step in my journey to resolve this problem. However, the response I received at the service center was disheartening. I was informed that the issue is a manufacturing problem related to the display of the Nothing Phone 2, and there was nothing they could do about it officially.
This whole experience has left me deeply disappointed. I chose Nothing not only for the quality of their products but also for the overall experience they promise to deliver. I expected a high-quality product and exceptional customer service, but my recent encounter has fallen short of my expectations. It’s frustrating to discover that the issue I’m facing is attributed to a manufacturing problem with the display used in the Nothing Phone 2.
I’m reaching out to the community in the hope that someone might have experienced a similar issue or could provide some guidance on how to address it. Perhaps someone has found a workaround, or maybe there’s a way to escalate the matter within Nothing to ensure a resolution.
