Does any one with nothing phone 3a face camera quality degradation after these software updates

MuhammadHassan_sdyIgD0VSe I bought the Nothing Phone 3a, and it actually takes really good pictures, as you can see.

After the nothing 4.0 update on nothing 3a the Quality of Camera is declined, less detailings and feel white glair everywhere and less sharp and less saturated photos and video. Now I think nothing 2a camera is better than nothing 3a .. as I compared it with my brothers nothing 2a. What you think? So friends share your thoughts also

It’s been like this since launch… HDR and Ultra XDR off does not improve it. I’m assuming no at this point, as the 3a is their old model now so will left in the mud 🥲

A GCam port doesn’t exhibit this behaviour, so it proves the camera hardware is capable.

It puts me off wanting to get a 4a as I have no faith it’ll be any better on that phone

Hi, so after the latest March security patch update in 3a I noticed problem with pictures, earlier the photo was weirdly processed by AI and that made the photos unusable like it made the photos oversaturated, and blurry but now after the update the ai processing is so minimal that there is so much grain in low light shots and the photos appear not so good like there should be a middle ground for the processing. Also just a bit of shakiness in the hand while taking the picture makes it blurry.

I mean, that’s 6.2x, I won’t expect more from a glassy/glossy surface picture… of it was opaque the ai would do its job… With new update, i guess photos have got a bit dimmer, gcam is providing much brighter photos… while NCam keeping it natural, but dim a bit

Enthusiast It happens with plant pictures also and everything I take photos of at a zoom level between 3x-7x the photos before update very oversaturated and immensely smoothed out and now after the update they are grainy don’t know why the developers can’t find a middle ground for ai processing.

Dimas Yeah… a lot of the natural beauty of a photo is lost with the crazy sharpening they apply… especially people photos. A tiny bit of grain looks beautiful IMO

Bro really the difference is of day and night from where can I get gcam and is it safe

When I take a photo with my nothing 3A my phone tries to take the best frame of the photo so it the target is moving this become an issue because 90% of the times I took a perfect photo but after 1 sec, the phone changes is. Is there any way to disable this option?

That’s the shutter lag I’ve been complaining about since day one

In hindsight I should have just refunded my 3a but I naively thought they’d fix it…
