I’m a photographer and chose the Nothing Phone (3a) specifically for its camera quality and the ability to shoot in RAW. I’d like to highlight a few small changes that could significantly improve the experience for users who take photography seriously:
1. Shoot in DNG (RAW) without JPEG: Currently, shooting in RAW also saves a JPEG version. It would be helpful to have the option to disable JPEG and shoot only in DNG — this would save storage space and streamline the workflow.
2. Pro Mode interface: The settings take up about a quarter of the screen, covering the image preview. It would be better to slightly reduce the viewfinder size and place the settings on a black background, rather than overlaying them directly on the image.
Alternatively, simply allowing RAW capture in the default camera mode would be ideal, as I personally use Pro Mode only to access the DNG format, not to manually adjust settings.
3. Quick access to Pro Mode: It would be very useful to set Pro Mode as the default when launching the camera from the lock screen (bottom right icon), instead of having to switch modes each time.
These are small adjustments, but they would make a big difference for professional users.
I hope they can be considered.
Thank you!
