Rob Even though we’ve seen the periscope camera in many other devices it’s just an awesome thing to see how beautifully it’s engineered and ofcourse seeing the clean housing of all the components is just satisfying.
Phone (3a) Pro Teardown
The processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3
The periscope zoom using prism is ingenious and easily my favorite. The design is what anyone would notice first and it nothing like anything
I love the macro capabilities of the telephoto camera, I been looking for a phone with good macro for insect photography for some time, and I think this might be the one!
My favorite feature of the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is without a doubt the periscope camera. It’s amazing to have this level of zoom at such an affordable price, especially when other brands are ditching it in favor of overly processed and AI-heavy edited photos. Nothing is proving that great hardware still matters, and it’s refreshing to see a company prioritizing real optical capability over artificial enhancements.
There’s nothing like this at this price range, that’s why we love Nothing!
the Periscope got me, I’ve been taking pictures of squirrels outside with my CMF Phone 1 and its really making me want the 3a Pro. we have some big squirrels out here.
Rob In absolute love with the design of the 3a Pro. Nothing is standing out amid this sea of ‘somethings’.
Glad to be part of something new, exciting, and downright disrupting!
I like the camera the most because it has periscope, which is very important.
Does the Nothing Phone 3 have dual sim capabilities? And is it DSDS or DSDA?
I love those ugly cameras!!
Rob Well Rob, Phone 3a Pros’ design is really something that have been talked and remained a subject of discussion. And I’m really intrigued by the periscope camera hardware built and configuration, p.s. the LUTs used to make the photos look more stunning. I have seen Phone 3a’s camera performance first hand, I really wanna know how well does the Pro edition performs and feels.
Kudos to the team for keeping it budget friendly btw.
Rob tbh the camera cutout is jst mesmerizing yaar
and the black color variant it’s jst damnnnnnnn
I love the new 6.77” big display and the periscope!
I really like that the 3a has zones for every glyph now. And 36 in total at that .
But there’s one thing I wonder about: Why reduce the C glyphs zones from 24 (2a) to 20? This sadly breaks the compatibility with all of the wonderfull ringtones from the 2a series
Anyways, I really like these teardown posts, please keep them coming
Rob the essential space is very helpful
