Flanagan no problem! I know you already did a factory reset but I insist you do it again, now that your phone got a new software update. I know itā€™s a ā€œpain in the assā€ to setup everything again but trust me, if things were already behaving in a strange way before the update, they will be harder to fix now.

I had a problem with the ā€œsmart charging modeā€, spent two weeks trading emails with Nothing support (they were impeccable), testing changing dozens of things including charger and cable, etc. Only after I did a second factory reset which I was almost sure that it wouldnā€™t work, took time to setup each app with patience and didnā€™t mess with any permissions, then my problem was fixed.

I donā€™t know if you use any apps outside of the Play Store like direct downloads or just uncertified apps. If you want to share the name of the apps that are giving you trouble I can try to help you further. No promises but I will try to help you to the best of my ability.

Um abraƧo de Portugal

mafcarvalho Everything worked perfectly with version 2.6 but when I updated to 3.0 the problems with notifications started. Performing a reset is quite cumbersome, but if you think a second factory reset would solve it, then Iā€™ll think about it.

The applications are all from the Play Store, some like X (Twitter), Spanish sports apps (Marca, As), banking apps, Google Wallet, etc. WhatsApp y Outlook They work quite well. Itā€™s always the notifications with the mobile phone locked.

Thank you very much from Galicia šŸ˜‰

mafcarvalho For example, WhatsApp and Outlook donā€™t usually fail, but the others are very late or donā€™t appear until I unlock my phone. I have everything set up as I had with version 2.6

the latest patch when i encountered is when charging is not working within seconds then its charging so the cable is fine.. weird

@ā€œBirparkashararaā€#P153218 I have the European version and goes perfect

I reset I did a factory reset a month ago to fix the notification issue and it didnā€™t fix it. Now itā€™s just been updated to the new version and everything is still the same, do you think I should try a factory reset again?

Flanagan no you shouldnā€™t. Itā€™s a complete waste of time. The notifications are broken. Thatā€™s a fact. Either get used to that. Or sell this garbage and get a new phone. Anyone who claims thereā€™s no problem with notifications simply never used anything other than WhatsApp/Telegram/SMS apps which do not have the problem. But one extends their usage and problem becomes evident with apps like chrome Facebook and so on.

The best way to fix this problem is to throw the garbage in the garbage. No point in complaining here as nobody gives an ear and itā€™ll never be fixed.

Please confirm with me the new update on Nothing phone 2a. I just received recently

SauravGhosh_YSyIGtH5QM if there is something I donā€™t appreciate at all is people talking with a rude and disrespectful attitude.

I get notifications from much more apps than those you mentioned. When my phone is locked I get all kinds of notifications from games, banking apps, news apps, doctor appointment/health apps, parking apps, etc. For me there is nothing broken with notifications. If you come here blaming Nothing then at least mention the app list that is causing you trouble. It would be good to know if you have the phone sitting with the screen facing up or down too. There are so many things that could be interfering with itā€¦ Be polite!

mafcarvalho I could care less about how you find my tone, disrespectful, insulting or otherwise. Besides I was not even quoting you.

Furthermore, i did mention the name of the apps, and those are only the ones I personally use, and Iā€™m certain there are many other apps as well. Maybe you cannot read. You cannot have push notifications since 3.0 was released until you manually open the apps. It has already been confirmed by many. Everything is at default setting post a factory reset. Absolutely nothing can interfere with something such as basic as this. Itā€™s clearly a software bug which neither has been acknowledged nor fixed by Nothing. So no matter how much you try to divert the focus from the problem, it wouldnā€™t matter.

              Be real.

SauravGhosh_YSyIGtH5QM Iā€™m sure you are the member that cannot read or interpret basic English. The post I replied to had the list of apps you donā€™t have issues with. I asked for a list of the apps that you donā€™t get notified about. I donā€™t need to open any app to get pending notifications. This is my experience.

Many other people have also told they have problems with their screens at low brightness levels and I donā€™t. I even proved it by taking photos and posting them.

What seems to be causing some bugs on peopleā€™s phones are their users. This is not my first phone. I use Android since v1.6 on the HTC Tattoo. Instead of coming to the community with total disregard for the other users why donā€™t you report the issues the way they should be reported?
