Hey Nothing team recently I purchased 3a device in which I frequently facing battery Draining Issue over a night in ideal situation where it’s drastically drops between 8-15% without use. Any one help please.

Battery drain issues most of the time are a result of apps working abnormaly and not because of os settings.

Because of this when I buy a new phone I use it the first few days without installing apps, only some basic ones just to be sure that everything works ok.

If you can’t find anything wrong it may be a good idea to make a factory reset.

WhatsApp is known to have this issue I guess, I previously had Moto Edge 40 and it also used to drain a lot of battery on WhatsApp video calls. You can try with a different device too.

I ordered Phone (3a) on the launch day and received it the next day and have been dailying it since then. The battery life was very good in the first week. But over the past 3 days, it has worsened severely. At the time of writing this, the battery percentage falls at the rate of 1% every 2 to 3 minutes of use! Even when the phone is idle, the situation is not much better.

In the screenshot, you can see that in just half an hour of use, the battery has dropped from 100% to 74%.

I hope this catches the attention of Nothing team. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

P.S: I’ve only used CMF 65W GaN charger and the USB cable that came with the phone, for charging.

The Phone 3a also loses too much battery in a short time. Especially when using Android Auto wireless or a normal phone call. I previously used a Motorola Edge 50 neo and its energy consumption was much more efficient. I didn’t have any such problems with the NP2a either. I have already reset my NP3a twice.

Yes battery still Draining overnight without any use 8% to 15% on ideal mode. CPU running in background and consumed more battery in ideal mode.

I was going to say the opposite actually. My 3a was fully charged at 11AM and now it’s 1030PM and so far I have almost 4 hours SOT with 70% battery left! Amazing

We’re so sorry for making you have a bad experience of power consumption.

When a new device is first used, there will be some data synchronization, application updates, system optimization and other behaviors, which will lead to increased power consumption. I would like to ask if you still have power consumption problems now. Is the screen on or off? Can you provide specific scenarios for the screen turning on? Are you willing to follow the following instructions to capture a power consumption log so that we can better solve your problem? Thank you.

1、Enter the dial pad and enter *#*#570#*#*

          2、Select “Power Consumption”

3、Check the bugreport and click “Start capture”

4、Normal use of the phone for about half an hour

5、Enter the dial pad again and enter *#*#570#*#*

6、Click“Stop capture” and back to log tool main interface

7、Click the upper right corner to enter the Log list

8、Long press the corresponding log file name and select “Copy to SDCard”

9、Open the file manager and find the “NTShareLog” folder. Upload the file to Google Drive and share it. Provide a link to the drive.

          Kind regards,

Does anyone know which option is best for battery health? I’m not sure if understand them correctly. Why if I choose smart charging mode I cannot set maximum charging limit? Is it better to use custom?
