I have noticed that there is a very aggressive (and bad) EQ curve applied to all audio played through my Phone (2a), both through Bluetooth and through a USB-C DAC. I decided to measure the frequency response of the output to confirm that something is wrong.
This first picture is the loopback of my MOTU M4 audio interface for reference:
This second picture is the captured frequency response of my Phone (2a) through a JCALLY JM6 Pro DAC into the same MOTU M4 audio interface:
What is going on here? I have disabled Dirac “Enhanced audio” which is the only “audio enhancement” that I can find in the OS. Am I missing something?
