Lately i understood that ‘a’ series phones will always have thick bezels.

Because Nothing is just following Pixel ‘a’ series which also comes with thick bezels. But again Nothing Couldn’t design their ‘a’ models in compact designs, because they want more sales and compact phones doesn’t attract masses.

phnism3 coming from an A series Samsung when I got my 3a I didn’t notice the bezels at all. Compared to the other brands I believe they have done a fantastic job for a mid ranger. One other thing you don’t see in midrange phones is even bezels (same size in all sides). Many of the midrange phones have huge bezel bottoms (chicks). Once you get your hands on a 3a you can see the difference compared to other midrangers, because that is what the 2a and 3a are, midrangers. Don’t try to compare them with flagships.

Big bezels have one advantage though. Many protective cases have high protruding edges to protect the screen and with those some gestures, like swiping back can be a bit challenging with smaller bezels.

GSXR i like this 🤩 I’m not usually a case guy.. But now i will buy. thanks for sharing your view 😊

phnism3 I’m not sure I follow here. Firstly, costs need to be cut to achieve a sub 400(gbp) price. They can’t provide sleek near bezel-less experience. On the flip side, Nothing have give the (3a) really sleek bezels which surpasses some flagships and is certainly better looking then the Pixel 9a. In fact, it’s a borderline offensive comparison.

If you want flagship through and, through… buy a flagship. If you want a good phone at a good phone, provide for some sacrifice but, to be fair Nothing, they are giving the close to flagship experience for a cost which beats the competition.
