TupazzLeBooze Tried 3a Pro, changed to 3a. Bad experience in regards to using NFC to make payments or when tapping to take public transport. Had no issues using the other previous phones from Nothing. Its getting to a point where i just took out my card and tap. NOTHING, PLEASE ADDRESS THIS.
TupazzLeBooze Kabir Not fully. NOTHING has to fix it with an update i guess. Sometimes it works but aometimes it doesn’t.
Script I’m facing the same issue. Today I tried contactless payment with Phone 3a and it didn’t work. I had no troubles with my previous phones using the same card. I hope they will fix this as soon as possible
CMF1_hacker I always find NFC much slower than a card tap for the London tube. It you stand next to an access point, it’s always slower with phone than card which a hassle at some stations Card tapper for life here.
MaximilianY_ no problem on mine using contactless payment. you know the NFC is located at the back of the phone, not on the camera bump right? it may still work but at a much slower speed and that maybe the reason I guess.

xr88bliss Got my 3A Pro on 3rd. Really enjoyed using the phone until NFC stopped working all of a sudden today. I had Curve as the default payment app. Switched to Google Wallet, tried restarting, switched back to Curve. Nothing sorted the issue. Had to call my friend to get my card from home and then made the payment. 10 hours later, it still isn’t working. 🙁
NathanTARDY I saw that there had already been discussions on this a few months ago, but I would have liked to know if things had evolved. There is still no trace of EMVCO certification in progress?
Nothing_Technik I haven’t had any problems with either the 2a or the Phone 3. Everything always works perfectly with payments. Maybe remove the card and insert it again.
FlippersMan Any updates or solutions? Really sucked being unable to pay at the Hospital today and had to walk all the way to the car to grab my debit card. It’s so inconsistent I just use my bank card when its around
Laidukas I have similar problem with my 3a Pro. My NFC payments are inconsistent. Tried various phone cases, tried without phone case. Other people with various brand phones just tap the payment terminal with the phone and they are done. In my case with 3a Pro I need to hold phone on the terminal for 5 sec or similar and during that time I get various notifications like keep your phone steady and other red color Google Pay icons notify that transaction is struggling.
DavidCarvajalM_rmol I’m having the same issue with my nothing phone 3, sometimes the payment is working perfectly but other ones no… An observation is that is always failing in the same card readers. With the same card on my old mobile, I never had this issue.
