Setup - I have a headphone, audio technica m50x and Moondrop chu II in ear monitor. Both are wired. I connected it to nothing 3a through DAC fiio JA11.

It works fine when I play music using the Apple Music app. With or without phone locked.

And with other apps like (Poweramp, VLC), it plays music if the screen is on, but if I lock the screen using the power button, It cuts the volume after 3 seconds, only the volume is cut while the apps continues to play without sound. I tried everything, checked unrestricted power supply, switched off adaptive battery, restarting, factory reset too, name it…

I tried the same setup with another phone, Moto g85, it works perfectly in that. Also I happened to have One plus 5T, 8 years old phone, with it also it works fine with OTG connection, inspite of having a dedicated aux cable.

Tried service center and customer care, they were not even ready to understand what I am saying. He showed me nothing 3a official technical specification page and said it is no where stated that this phone supports wired connection. A very smart lad he was.

I am okay if it is not compatible, but I need to be sure about it before discarding.

Same problem for me. Using 3a with Moondrop Dawn Pro DAC and Moondrop Stellaris Iems.

When listening spotify and turning off the screen the sound disappears after 3 seconds. AIMP - same thing. I tried turning off every battery savers and it didn’t help.

    JaiGaneshAnbalagan I solved this problem. The solution is simple, but it was difficult to find.
    AIMP and Spotify work great with the screen off.
    Try turning off the RAM expansion, by default +2gb is selected.

        ZerOS yoo thanks for that i was so frustrated because of this issue. I wonder though how did you figure out ram expansion was the issue?

          In general, If you restart the phone, everything works fine for sometime. Later the problem will come again. Since changing the ram expansion forces you to restart the phone, it works for sometime…. And so, changing the ram expansion is not working for me.

            Tech team from nothing have to sort this out. But I don’t think it is happening anytime soon. Hope someone finds the solution.

            I realized that this was not a solution after a couple of days. This problem appeared again after 2-3 days.
            The most interesting thing is that a simple reboot didn’t help me
            until I turned off ram expansion.

                  Just wondering if anyone has experienced this behavior before? I’m currently using the Moondrop Dusk IEMs with the included USB-C cable. When playing music via Spotify, the music plays normally at first, but when I lock the phone, the music cuts off and a weird static sound plays.

                  Will appreciate any potential fixes 🙂 Thanks in advance!

                  just bought my new phone 3a and didn’t expect this problem at all

                  do you guys have any idea why it supposedly works on the apple music app but not on others? i hope this is fixable with a software update huhu
