NHN I would really appreciate it if someone could confirm whether the brightness reset issue, dimming to 16%, is occurring with the latest software updates. I’ve already reported this problem to Nothing, and after sending my phone to their labs in Poland, they returned it to me after simply performing a factory reset—which I had already done three times before sending it in. They are aware of that.
Currently, I’m submitting a support ticket weekly to see if they are acknowledging this significant issue or if they are just ignoring my request for a refund. I’ve used various smartphone brands recently, including iPhone, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Sony, and I’ve never experienced the screen brightness resetting to the minimum every time the device locks for a while or restarts.
Is it really acceptable that users have to manually adjust the auto-brightness each time they enter a darker environment? I find this very disappointing, especially for a flagship device from Nothing. Isn’t it supposed to learn user preferences and automatically adjust the brightness like all other smartphones do?
