Hi, This started happening a while ago. And there seems to be two main problems :

  • The Wallpaper in the background in both lock screen and Home screen is blurred or rather out of focus; as it’s very far behind the apps or widgets on screen as shown in the attached screenshots

  • The Wallpapers are linked. Yeah you heard it right. There is like a parent-child relationship between the Homescreen and Lockscreen Wallpaper. Changing The lockscreen wallpaper does absolutely nothing, and it stays exactly to what the homescreen wallpaper is. If you change the homescreen wallpaper, the lockscreen wallpaper becomes the same.

I tried many settings, third party apps, clearing data/cache. Nothing worked.

Also, it only happens in another user, not with the main user of the phone. The Wallpapers work just fine with the main user. But create another user, and this all starts happening. I have looked every setting possible, and there seems to be no fix. So I am coming to the only possible conclusion. After the Android 15 update, It’s no longer possible to have different Wallpapers as homescreen and lockscreen while using the device as the secondary user.

My request is for others to try making another user, setting up different wallpapers for home and lock screen and then signing out and then sign back in. If the wallpapers stay different, then there is something wrong with my handset specifically, or else, it’s unfixable.

Thank you for your time.

Have a good one.

P.S. : I am running the latest Software update indeed.

Zakarta Hey 👋🏻, please provide OS feedback via settings -> system -> feedback - that way it will go directly to the relevant teams at Nothing 🙂

Daniel changed the title to Separate wallpapers for home and lock screen with multiple users added .
