With CMF hype in full swing at the moment, i thought it would be a great time to show off my latest concepts, CMF compact (go) and compact (pro).

compact (go) is a portable bluetooth speaker thats vibrant and versatile.

compact (go) is all about being bold and vibrant, a perfect accessory for those who live their life in colour. compact (go) has a wide range of accessories also in a wide range of vibrant colours, so you can find that perfect combination that really pops.

compact (go) is inspired by a classic portable cd player, both in style and functionality. As shown in the image above, you can attach compact (go) using a clip accessory, and plug in your headphones for that true retro feel. compact (go) does have modern luxuries, so if wired headphones aren’t your thing, no problem! connect your wireless ones using bluetooth.

compact (go) integrates with Nothing X just like your other Nothing and CMF audio products, so you can control everything in one place. You can change the level of Bass Enhance, try out and share sound profiles using the equaliser, and if you have another compact (go) nearby, you can use Stereo Sync for seamless stereo surround.

Using the function dial, you can fast forward, rewind, skip, play, pause and more! Use Nothing X to map select functions to the dial.

compact (pro) is a bluetooth portable speaker with crisp, high quality audio. Along with all the features of compact (go), paired with Essential Space, compact (pro) also gains some smart functionality.

As always i would love to hear your thoughts on the project, and what you would like to see from CMF in the future.

Looks like the big dail on top could be a bad decision, as you may accidentally interact with the dail easily.

MohinSutradhar Valid concern, although for this i would imagine some kind of push to lock/unlock mechanism or the dial itself would require enough force as to not be hard to turn but equally not turn by itself by accident or when coming into contact with clothing etc

this looks awesome! Great renders. I could see nothing making this, though i don’t think it would look like that in the app if Nothing made it, it would propably show the entire device in the image

man i hate that you make this concepts, you make me love this ideas , and knowing that Nothing wont make this makes me disapointed , anyway keep up the good work,

Derren Love your exploration of colour in this one! Really nicely presented too!

Always love seeing your designs and you’ve smashed it again! I love the idea of being able to clip it to your belt and take it with you. Great work 🙌

      Crazy good stuff @Derren

Definitely looking like something that would come from CMF. Really well done presentation too!

Can you tell how exactly the media controls works in this concept?

You i would like it if you guys could make a big concept speker like a JBL Partybox but with affordable prices

        Rahul

I had the functionality of the buds in mind, working in a very similar fashion.

So you would have controls like play, pause, skip, back, fast forward, rewind, volume and all of these you could map to different actions. For example i could spin the dial one way for fast forward or volume up, and the other way for rewind or volume down. Play/pause could be on dial press, whether that be single, double, or triple press.

I like the idea of having that physical interaction, and it could open up some interesting third party functions.

Jeep this idea Alice at all cost🔥🔥🔥

What software did you make these renders in?

patrick0 Blender for all the 3D elements, then photoshop/illustrator for any post editing or UI mockups.

Derren this is, as always, stunning work! 🔥

Love the use of the pastel colours and how everything seems to pop on the page and in conjunction with other items of clothing on the model.
A continuation of the dial controls is also really satisfying to see! I love the idea you have mentioned of having this soft locked too, so that it doesn’t get accidentally triggered.

Beautiful renders, a creative concept and once again, a real showcase of talent by you 👏🏼
