I’ve noticed that the dial on the CMF Buds Pro 2 is always active, which often leads to accidental touches when adjusting or handling the earbuds. It also seems to contribute to unnecessary battery drain from unintentional interactions.

I’d like to suggest an optional setting where the dial is off by default and only gets activated with a long press to intentionally turn it on. This way:

  • Accidental touches can be avoided
  • Battery life could be better preserved
  • The user experience becomes more intentional and controlled

Hey guys!

I recently purchased the CMF Buds Pro 2’s and I’ve been loving them for a cheap but effective ear bud; however, I was anticipating a little more customization for the smart dial. I’m not unhappy for all it can do since it’s still convenient with all its functions, but I think there could be a little more.

I’ve had a couple ideas and wanted to know y’all’s opinions or if there’s any future customization options that are in the works.

To preface this, I use the Buds with my iPhone. My main thought is the ability to use apples built in accessibility features and set the smart dial to use different functions. So one press could bring you to the Home Screen and two presses could activate Siri. Another example is using the scroll function to swipe up and down on instagram reels.

I’d love to hear y’all’s thought and ideas or insight into if there’s any future options for the smart dial.

I think it would be great if when you go to the camera app, you could make a shot with click on dial remotely, what do you think?

I agree that it would be nice not to carry the selfie remote. I am using the dial as a remote. I am not touching my ear, trying to find the touch spot. The case is a good remote while driving.
