Derren I havent personally tested the USB-C headphones but i have tried the USB-C to audio jack adapter and it works as intended.
BharatJha Why is my nothing phone 1 not supporting any brand? Type c wired earphone, however, my smartphone is in best condition; there is not any issue with type c port (latest updated) Please let me know if there are any settings that can be changed.

Jay I use 3.5 headphone with apple adapter with PH1. works well but volume is limited. rest quality is best
