NOTHING has been neglecting hdr issue on nothing phone 3a since the smartphone is launched I've shared logs and what not still they couldn't resolve it they always ask to reach service centre before telling to reach service build some service centre first. Malacatuni I bought my 3A in august, never faced an issue with HDR activation. I haven’t tested normal youtube but in revanced HDR always works fine except if the video is minimised. Photos and videos in gallery, google photos and VLC also display fine.

Maybe it’s faulty units?

In my opinion, HDR settings can be deleted if does not work properly, it’s useless. It’s more easy to increse manually the brightness, at least you don’t get blinded
