Celebrating Gold at the iF Awards: A Triumph for Community Edition!

Last night, @"Natalie ✨"#18202 and I had the honor of collecting Gold at the iF Design Awards in Berlin for Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition. The award is not just a milestone for our team but a testament to the power of a community-driven approach! This is a bold step that prefigures a likely trend in product design. Just as the internet is now dominated by user-generated content, hardware designers will increasingly look to users for ideas and impulses. The Nothing Phone is ahead of the curve on this trend.”* We were delighted to spend the evening with @"Astrid"#36847 and @"Kenta"#37792, the hardware design stage winners who ideated the glow in the dark concept for (2a) Plus Community Edition. Their creativity and vision were instrumental in bringing this project to life, and it was a joy to celebrate alongside them. The evening was a great opportunity to connect with some of the world’s top design talent across various disciplines. We were also treated to an inspiring speech by the legendary Norman Foster, whose iconic works include the Gherkin in London, the Hearst Tower in New York, the Millennium Bridge, and the redevelopment of Wembley Stadium, among many others. His words on the transformative power of design left a lasting impression on everyone in the audience. I have always admired Nothing for their importance on Community and this drive with Co-Creation is bold and fresh!

Nothing Phone (2a) Plus - Community Edition is a beautiful device and thoroughly deserves the plaudits and awards. Congrats to Nothing, for the creation initiative and to Astrid and Kenta for their amazing design.

Wow this is a cool. And, I’m so glad the Nothing team & community are getting recognition for what is/was a first of its kind project. I really love the (2a) CE… probably my favourite of the (2a) series and, Astrid & Kenta are wonderful people who are deserving of this recognition (as are all the CE winners).
