After trying out the Android 16 beta, I’ve realized I’m done with the monochrome look. I don’t really think Nothing OS will adopt Material 3 Expressive colors and translucent effects since their identity is built around monochrome minimalism. Honestly , for me, expressive colors, blur, and that frosted glass effect really take the experience to the next level — I’m a big fan of that style. The solid, flat look just doesn’t appeal to me anymore. After seeing Android 16’s colors and translucent design, I’m really cooked — I’m thinking it might be time to switch.
It’s been great using Nothing OS so far, and I appreciate what they’ve done, but I’d love to see more vibrancy and blur in the future (which isn’t possible ). What do you all think?
