What if.. here me out, there was a funding page on devices that are not supported anymore by companies like Nothing, to reach a certain ammount of money (like kickstarter) for continuing to relase future android (notingOS) updates? Nothing phone (1) won’t get android 16 right? For example: that way, companies could still support older phones let’s say 3 more years.. I like this idea. Let’s say if np(1) reaches a million dollars of funding all around the world by 50$ donations per person, they would support it for a couple of years, If it doesn’t, then refund or sth. And in order to update, maybe you should also pay.
