Hey everyone! I’ve been using the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro for the past month and here’s my experience using the device for the last 30 days.
This device is a review unit provided by @nothingindia as part of the community review program. However, they have had no input on my impressions or views-everything shared here is entirely based on my experience with the device.
Let’s dive in
1. Unboxing Experience - Premium from the start.
In the box
- Nothing Phone (3a) Pro
- Nothing Cable (c-c) 100cm
- Phone (3a) screen protector (pre-applied)
- SIM tray ejector tool
- Safety information and warranty card
Clean. No clutter. Nothing unnecessary.
2. Design & Build
Phone (3a) Pro have a powerful triple cameras and glass panels with Nothing’s trademark design. It expands the camera surround into a full circle, adding the space needed for a flagship-grade periscope zoom. It felt large in my hand. Not ideal if you prefer small phones (personal preference).

With IP64 rating, the device is able to withstand water sprays from any direction and protected by highgrade tempered glass across both sides.

And my favourite feature, the Glyph Interface. Combining function, form and perfectly complementing the exterior. Used the glyph light for macro photography and countdown timers ,actually helpful!
3. Display
It’s a beauty. Nothing’s largest, brightest display. Balancing size and quality, Phone (3a) Pro’s display is immersive and brilliant. 6.77 inches, slightly taller and with less rounded corners than past Nothing phones.Blacks are deep, colors are rich. Great for binge watching and scrolling. Great visibility at outdoors.
4. Software
Coming from bloat-heavy phones, this was a breath of fresh air. Nothing OS 3.1 is Clean,Minimal and Snappy With subtle glyph animations that adds character.
5. Cameras
This is where the phone really shines.Phone (3a) Pro feature a1/1.56” 50MP primary camera , an 8MP Ultra Wide Angle Lens, and a large periscope lens having 1/1.95-inch Sony LYTIA 600 sensor with a 70mm equivalent focal length and a fast f/2.55 aperture. It has a 50MP front camera that can record high-quality 4K videos with stable footage and natural skin tones. I mostly shot macros and was honestly impressed.

6. Performance
Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 handled everything I threw at it. Runs Faster, Games Smoother, Lasts Longer. No heating, no lags, no hiccups. I’m not a heavy user but I did some video editing and photo editing, i haven’t noticed any lags. Also played few casual games and it delivered more stable frame rates.
7. Battery & Charging
Nothing phone (3a) pro has a large, 5000mAh battery, the highest capacity of any Nothing phone to date, delivering up to two days of use on a full charge. Since they don’t provide a charger in the box I used my Xiaomi 120W charger and it worked just fine. Got decent screen-on-time even with heavy multitasking.
8. Audio
It has Stereo speakers which are loud and clean. No distortion at max volume. As a music lover, I enjoyed using it without earphones (But yeah, there’s no headphone jack).
Final Verdict
This device has an excellent cameras for the price, Smooth & clean software, Beautiful display, also stands out in a sea of generic phones.

Cons
- No charger in the box
- No headphone jack
- UFS 2.2 which is slower than competition.
10. Would I recommend it?
Absolutely, especially for mobile photographers, clean software lovers, and those tired of bloated UIs. It’s unique, bold, and fun to use.
Finally thanks for the opportunity, looking forward to more.
