Recently, with Nothing OS 2.5 Beta, Google Calendar has added support for Glyph Progress, joining Uber & Zomato (indian food chain and delivery company). It got me thinking about what else could work with it:
Other apps and companies/industries Nothing could work with:
• Public Transport: Underground/Subway/Metro & Bus (with live trackers).
Example: London Underground, Metro Madrid, Renfe, Deutsche Bahn, FlixBus, Eurolines, etc.
[P.D.: Possibly make it a public API for easier use or make a general app that uses the public information provided by the transport companies).
• Airtag competitors: Fills up the closer you get to it. (light next to the progress glyph lights up when facing the tag). Example: Tile.
• Motor Sports: Progress of a race (lap 36/72 makes the glyph 50% full). Examples: F1, MOTOGP, NASCAR, etc.
P.D.: The light next to the progress glyph can stay on when your favorite driver is in the pits or in podium position and flash when the race has stopped (red flag).
• Social Media: Progress bar for when uploading large images/videos and its taking awhile. Example: Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.
P.D.: YouTube: Time till planned video going public (10m before till public).
• Fitness: Progress on objectives (steps, calories burnt, distance, etc.).
• Maps & Hiking: Progress on distance to objective or next turn.
Any other ideas or concepts?
